This from Marilyn F. She is an active Nordic Walking. She sent me this note to tout the progress she has seen in her health.
“I love my Leki walking poles!! I try to walk 1 to 2 hours a day 5 to 7 days a week. So far, I’ve lost 15 pounds! My leg and arm muscles are becoming firmer and (surprisingly to me), my “muffin-top” torso has decreased by 2 inches. My golf partners have noticed that I’m in much better shape – I can drive the ball farther and walk the course much more easily. Plus it’s great being outside getting the physical exertion of working both arms and legs.”
Wow – she does it 5-7 days a week. THAT is how to do it. Consistency – not Intensity! That little push into the ground does it. If you walk a minimum of 30 minutes, at a decent pace, you will see results. A little adds up.
And without feeling exhausted. No joint pain is a bonus. Don’t take my word for it. Marilyn is living proof. If I did commercials, I’d feature her.
Thanks for the email, my friend. Awesome!
