Another satisfied Nordic Walker – a convert to the Fitness Rage

I was recently contacted by a woman from Georgia who had found this website. She was very enthusiastic about Nordic Walking and wanted to learn more. She exercised a lot already with mostly walking as her cardiac routine.

I talked with her long-distance (free nowadays with cell phones) and explained what it was all about. The benefits excited her.

She watched my YouTube “How To” and ordered a pair of Instructor poles from me. It is almost impossible to find true Nordic Walking poles at sports shops. They will show you Trekking poles. Those are for going up steep hills / mountains. See my other website if you are interested in that.

Let me make myself clear………the last 2 years I’ve been exercising by walking.  Each week I would try to walk at least twice and do a day at the gym for strength training.  The total miles for the week might be 3 miles – 4 tops!

Last week on the first day I could walk I walked 3.91 miles!  I was not tired, no more so than when I used to walk 1.5 miles.  Two days later I walked 3.7 miles.  Weekly total = 7.6!

This past week my total was 12.7 and that was done in 3 days!  I can not believe the difference 2 poles can make!  I want to be outside all the time!  I think about how to fit a walk in my day.  I LIKE to walk, not just walking because I HAVE to!  It is amazing.  I have already talked to 3 friends and walked with one and the poles.  I met another lady who walks with poles and we met and walked together.  Boy, did we get some looks!  I usually do since not many people in this area know what they are.  But I plan to change that!
